    Job Description

    Intro:

    We’re building a workplace that is a manifestation of our culture and brand: personal, dynamic and an instrument for technological innovation and efficient collaboration.  As the Pinpatrol Regional Site Lead, you’ll make the most of our hyper growth environment by being a constant resource for our internal and external customers. This is a hybrid workplace function where you are expected to perform duties not only related to physical security and safety, but extend support to the overall Workplace team.

     

    What you’ll do:

    • Manage day-to-day security operations for regional offices, with particular focus on the campus in New York City
    • This role will be diverse in responsibilities from investigations, health and safety compliance, security risk management, event security, crisis management and emergency response, loss management and physical security system management to enforcing Pinterest’s security policies and regulations regionally.
    • Under the guidance of the Pinpatrol Program Manager, document and proliferate security protocols and guidelines for regional locations to include (but not limited to) access control standards and policies, security guard operations and deployment, technical security solutions, safety and emergency preparedness protocols and training for staff, liaison with individual offices’ local law enforcement, etc.
    • Under the guidance of the Pinpatrol Program Manager, serve as a front line crisis manager for incidents occurring in regional offices.  Partnering with the Physical Security Operations Manager, establish a regional Crisis Management Program, conduct regional and site level training and act as regional crisis manager in the event of an emergency or disaster and support the company’s business continuity program.
    • Work closely with the Physical Security Operations Manager and GSOC Lead in San Francisco and the Workplace Regional Operations Manager to support regional security operations in local offices
    • Investigate incidents and provide well-articulated reports, briefings, and after action recommendations
    • In partnership with the Pinpatrol Health and Safety Manager abd the Los Angeles Workplace Program Manager,  develop and train staff on occupant emergency plans and incident response protocols as well as manage the regional ERT program.
    • Work closely with the GSOC Lead and the Global Workplace Development (GWD) team to assist in the deployment of security systems and technology at regional offices.
    • Partner effectively with Workplace teams as well as other Pinterest teams such as IT,  Legal and HR.  Maintain regular communications with a variety of stakeholders, to ensure that all concerned parties are well informed.
    • Partner with the GSOC Lead to effectively manage and/or influence travel safety and security programs.
    • With guidance from the Pinpatrol Program Manager, establish the Physical Security budget for all regional offices within the region, plan staffing and program support and monitoring and controlling all spending.
    • Other duties, projects, and initiatives as assigned.

     

    What we’re looking for:

    • 5+ years experience managing safety and security operations, ideally in technology or creative office environments
    • Experience developing security/safety programs and incident response plans
    • Knowledge of and comfortability with global technical security monitoring systems
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Experience reviewing architectural plans and planning physical security design

    Language proficiency in English; at least (1) other European language preferred

    • Depth of experience & cultural understanding within regional countries
    • Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time    
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred (years of experience may be substituted for education)
    • Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively cross-functionally
    • Demonstrated commitment to Pinterest core values
    • Ability to build the regional Pinpatrol and Workplace program with growth and change in mind.
    • Comfortable enough to constantly adapt to the terrain and circumstances of a fast-paced environment.
    • Superior language, written and oral, communication skills required.
    • Dynamic and team oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills, business judgment, strategic thinking, superior work ethic.
    • Able to work efficiently with cross-functional teams and manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
    • Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of contractual and related matters.      
    • Understanding of local codes, regulations and working environment for the region
    • Experience of working with vendors and managing a contracted guard force.
    • Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
    • Experience with security technologies including CCTV, Access Control, and Incident Management Systems.
    • Prior law enforcement and/or military experience preferred
