    Job Description

    Allied Universal is currently seeking 2 (two) security services operations professionals for leaderships opportunities with a key multi-site client in the National Accounts division.  This leadership position will oversee and direct the security program at all assigned properties ensuring contract compliance and the development of a relationship with Allied Universal client contacts. These positions serve as a National Accounts Liaison for regional and local Allied Universal Branch Managers to help ensure all operational, financial and administrative functions for assigned account have been performed.  Individual’s performance will be evaluated based on, but not limited to, providing quality customer service to assigned customer and assisting in achieving the financial goals and objectives of Allied Universal.  One of the 2 (two) managers will need to work on-site in Menlo Park, CA. The other can work out of Chicago, IL, New York, NY, or Austin, TX. Primary responsibilities include:

     

    • Ensure contract compliance at all assigned properties. Identify security issues and opportunities and recommend solutions to client’s corporate security team.  Respond to critical incidents at client locations. 
    • Facilitate and/or provide in-depth client specific training to new on site Allied Universal Managers. Create and deliver annual training programs.
    • Develop relationship with local and regional client contacts. Work with all levels in the organization to identify, analyze and solve problems and create opportunities for continuous improvement.
    • Identify and present industry best practices to all teams in all locations.
    • Active participation in industry specific professional organizations such as but not limited to ASIS.
    • Assist in the preparation and presentation of Quarterly Business Reviews.
    • Identify client-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and measure Allied Universal’s performance of these measurements to insure acceptable monthly scorecard results.
    • Ensure all administrative and operational functions including payroll, billing, accounts receivable, scheduling, etc. are accurate and/or issues are resolved quickly.
    • Ability to conduct in-depth audits and analysis of operational and financial controls relating to the account management. Manage and own the accounts receivable process for their customer.  Lead all contract renewal, rebid and rate increase initiatives.
    • Create and manage to an annual overhead budget. Partner with their customer on their security budget.
    • Mentor managers within their portfolio in an effort to establish a true succession plan for their portfolio.
    • Survey security officers and leaders to gauge workplace satisfaction. 

      

     

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

    The ideal candidate will have a college degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 10 years of security operations experience with at least 3 years management or supervisory experience.  Physical security experience in the Technology market is a plus.  We also seek the following:

    • Strong level of understanding of Allied Universal field operations at the district level, client diversity and internal team network.
    • Functional knowledge of the use of sales management methodologies.
    • Solid understanding of all key Corporate functions and their roles in the Allied Universal organization. The ability to build and maintain productive partnerships with key contacts in Corporate functions is critical.
    • Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems using quality and/or continuous improvement tools, techniques, and practices.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with senior leadership, peers, internal resources and clients.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a team oriented environment that allows for collaboration with the multiple teams, identifying and resolving issues and concerns.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including highly effective writing skills
    • Familiarity with Windows-based applications. Proficiency with MS Office and Outlook.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule and to work evenings, weekends and holidays as requested or required.
    • Must be willing to travel nationally as needed including extended overnight stays when required.
