    Job Description

    NATIONAL SECURITY SYSTEMS MANAGER (NSSM)

                The NSSM will be a salary position and reports directly to the National Account Program Manager for issues involving Allied Universal Security Services.  This position will oversee and supervise all Allied Universal Physical Security Specialist.  The NSSM is expected to work directly with the Flex Brand Protection Systems team maintaining Access Control, CCTV, and other Monitoring and reporting systems that Flex may choose to deploy. 

    Qualifications:

    • Degree or equivalent work experience.
    • Work experience in physical security implementation and management.
    • Certifications or in-depth knowledge in various IP security cameras and media server solutions. Milestone system is a plus
    • Certifications or in-depth knowledge in various access control or alarm monitoring system. S2 system is a plus.
    • Knowledge of power management and cabling for security cameras.
    • Understanding of IP networking and Microsoft Windows Server operating systems.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with client personnel and team members.
    • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Ability to review constructions plans for new building/re-models and provide technology input as it relates to physical security infrastructure.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.

    Prime Purpose:

    Assist in the management and implementation of an all enterprise level physical security solutions including but not limited to security cameras, access controls and alarms.   

    Major Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide coordination with vendor / contractors in relation to the physical security solutions.
    • Provide tier one response for technical support, resolution and guidance on physical security issues for all sites assigned to his/her region.
    • Analyze documentation and assist in communication with client in relation to current operational status.
    • Management of documentation and tracking of moves / adds / changes to existing deployments.
    • General housekeeping and maintenance of assigned physical security software solutions.
    • Produce effective verbal and written communications with vendors, client, and IT staff.
    • Maintain and administer client physical security standards for access control and video surveillance systems.
    • Provide coordination to assist in the deployment in newly installed physical security solutions.
    • Operate the physical security systems in strict accordance to the client standard policies, procedure and best practices.
    • Assist client with day to day technical operations, and to troubleshoot, service, resolve and support issues as it relates to security systems and associated hardware.

     

    Equipment Used:    

    Laptop computer, general hand tools, network test equipment, ladders and lifts.

     

     

    Working Conditions:

    • Maintain emotional control under stress. On occasion working prolonged hours including weekends and Holidays to facilitate issue resolution and upgrade of system infrastructure as needed.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize projects based on risks and business operations requirements.
    • This position may require occasional travel within the region to support installations or physical security designs.

    Reporting Structure:

    • The National Security Systems Manager (NSSM) will report directly to the National Account Program Manager for any issues concerning Allied Universal.
    • NSSM will work closely with the Flex Brand Protection teams to ensure all systems needs are met.
