    Allied Universal Services is seeking a dynamic, and proven, leader for the role of Manager, Intelligence Operations . The Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development and production of intelligence products that assess risk and threats to people, corporate assets, and reputation. The Manager will also assist leadership in evolving a 24x7 analytical center of excellence.  

     

    The position is responsible for supporting the organization’s intelligence mission by deploying analytical techniques, tools, and tradecraft to mitigate risk and add value to business operations. The Manager will lead elements of team operations supporting anticipatory warning efforts.  The successful candidate will be able to interact successfully with corporate personnel across multiple business units and continents. The Manager is expected to be a creative thinker – capable of spotting and forecasting emerging trends and threats while outlining mitigation techniques. This is a leadership and program development opportunity. 

     

    This is not an entry-level role; the Manager must have proven leadership experience.

     

    Preferred Experience

     

    • At least two (2) years direct experience managing and leading teams (contracted or full-time)
    • Global risk, analysis, and threat mitigation background; Language and cultural proficiencies; foreign area familiarity
    • Must be able to work independently in a dynamic and ambiguous environment
    • Degree, or background, within intelligence, journalism, communications, or data science
    • Direct experience working in a private sector intelligence organization

    • Technical competencies: MS Office Suite (Visio, Excel, SharePoint); Ability to manage large data arrays, Tableau, search engines, and other relevant tools

    Job Description

     

    Responsibilities

    • Daily operations, team oversight, and intelligence administrative functions
    • Support all-source intelligence program development, deployment, and evolution
    • Active risk monitoring and reporting (indications and warning)
    • Protective intelligence, threat, and risk assessments
    • Responsible for maintaining, populating, and evaluating intelligence risk databases
    • Analysis, briefings, and ad-hoc research
    • Support regional teams during times of emergency
    • Establish baseline and scalable risk methodologies and applying to assessments
    • Lead, manage and mentor a regional cohort of intelligence analysts
    • Building a great team; hiring, motivating, and fostering an exceptional workplace
    • Team morale, motivation, retention, and hiring
    • Maintaining global threat databases, archives, and kinetic data
    • Gather and present operations metrics
    • Budgeting, auditing, and metrics reporting
    • Willingness to work on-call and irregular hours; desire to support global crisis response needs
    • Light travel (typically local market)

    Physical and Mental Functions:

    • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
    • Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties
    • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
    • Run as needed
    • Constant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping/fingering while using phone, notepad, writing reports, and other administrative tasks
    • Constant use of eyes (correctable vision to normal level required) to observe, read, interact with public and co-workers, view security monitors; includes hand/eye coordination
    • Work in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain or heat;
    • Constant mental alertness and attention to detail required while setting priorities and following up on assignments

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field and/or at least four years direct experience working within formal government/military/law enforcement or an intelligence organization
    • At least  years direct experience managing and leading teams (contracted or full-time)
    • Ability to formulate, and successfully deploy, risk methodologies and services
    • Demonstrated experience with analytical tools and processes (ArcGIS, PPT, Excel macros, pivot tables, linking tables); experience in research methods related to quantitative and qualitative evaluation
    • Superstar communication abilities; must be able to write/present with impact
    • Crisis management, response, or preparedness experience (CEM, ICS, or other)
    • Internationally-focused intelligence work, portfolio, and expertise (regional or functional experience)
