    Job Description

    Allied Universal Security Systems is hiring a Director of Service to oversee daily operations including but not limited to scheduling service calls, interacting with customers regarding service issues, ordering parts for service when needed, assisting in the field and scheduling and executing quarterly fire testing.

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Daily review and prioritizing of service tickets
    • The Service Director, through knowledge of pending tickets and statuses, ensures that critical or escalated tickets are handled in a pro-active manner
    • Through daily oversight and direction, improves overall service efficiency with goal of reducing downtime while improving customer communication
    • Identifies patterns in service history which highlights areas requiring corrective action in equipment selection / application, installation method, or training
    • Provides daily direction to Service Personnel
    • Coordinates fire system tests and inspections
    • Troubleshoots with customer telephonically to properly identify, diagnose, and direct resources as necessary
    • Ensures all FSR’s are received from the field within 3-days of the work being completed and invoiced
    • Researches and contacts customers with outstanding / delinquent T&M Service related invoices
    • Generates and provides a regular account status report requiring follow-up and submission back to upper management
    • Responsible for the ordering of requested service parts for the service field technicians (new, advance replacement, etc.) - P.O.’s will be created and processed with the manufacturer to acquire these parts
    • Responsible for creating and executing monthly training calendar for technicians as well as mainlining required safety training every 10 days
    • Responsible for ensuring that all Service Technicians are meeting minimum job requirements as it relates to call volume, service accuracy, billing, time keeping, and customer satisfaction
    • Responsible for coaching and/or discipline of service staff when needed

    QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or experience required.     • High school diploma (or equivalent) required, minimum two-year degree and/or professional certification highly desired
    • Minimum 3+ years of IT and/or industry-related experience
    • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
    • Must be highly organized and able to keep executive on track with required information available at all times
    • Current State’s driver’s license, clean driving record (no points in prior 3 years), and ability to safely operate a Company vehicle required
    • Must be highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology including Outlook and internet applications
    • Professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion
    • Must have proven ability to maintain correspondence, discussions and materials in strictest confidence
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization while functioning as a team player
