Job Description

Our canine group, under Allied Universal® Enhanced Protection Services, is hiring a SmartTech - Emergency Operations Center (EOC). The SmartTech system supports screening operations on over 1300 X-ray machines worldwide. The SmartTech Subject Matter Expert directly supports that effort with interpretation and evaluation of difficult or suspicious images as well as screening mail for select clients.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Screening suspicious X-ray images
  • Screening mail via X-ray images
  • Monitor SmartChem system
  • Responsible for security of office during off hours
  • Receive telephone calls
  • 24/7 Emergency Operations Center (EOC) monitoring

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • HazMat Technician Certification
  • FBI certified Bomb Technician Certification
  • Minimum of five (5) years of law enforcement or military Bomb Squad/Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit
  • X-ray interpretation
  • Explosive Ordnance Disposal (IED) recognition
  • Basic communication and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
  • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
  • Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
  • Eight (8) or more years of service in any military branch
  • Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
