Allied Universal is seeking to hire an Open Source Intelligence Coordinator

 

The Open-Source Intelligence Coordinator is responsible for leading and managing the organization's open-source intelligence operations, including social media monitoring, multi-source information gathering, threat analysis, and the timely dissemination of actionable intelligence to key stakeholders.

 

Role Overview: The OSINT Coordinator operates within the Security Operations Center (SOC) as a key contributor to enterprise risk awareness and intelligence operations. This role is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and delivering open-source intelligence to support the protection of personnel, assets, and operations. The coordinator provides timely, actionable insights through monitoring, research, and threat analysis, enabling leadership and stakeholders to make informed risk-based decisions. The position partners with internal teams and external intelligence sources, to enhance situational awareness, identify emerging threats, and support proactive risk mitigation across the organization.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Intelligence Provider Management: Assist in the review and maintenance of intelligence providers (e.g., Ontic) to ensure data quality, service reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Social media & Dark Web Investigation: Conduct deep-dive investigations into emerging social media and dark web trends to identify how threat actors exploit platforms for planning targeted attacks.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with Global Crisis Management Centers and EO Logistics Managers to deliver geopolitical intelligence reports, identify Persons of Interest (POIs), and produce global strategic outlooks.
  • Real-time Monitoring: Execute real-time monitoring of activist groups, protest movements, and live intelligence to assess risks to corporate assets, personnel, and high-profile events.
  • System Optimization: Continuously refines and optimizes Boolean queries and keyword sets to improve the precision of social listening and early warning systems.
  • Threat Analysis & Mitigation: Analyze data and past incidents to identify trends, risks, and emerging threats, creating warnings and mitigation strategies to protect people, intellectual property, and infrastructure.
  • OSINT Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert for Crisis Management Center teams on OSINT methods and tools, leading training sessions to up-skill analysts and improving hyper-local monitoring across multiple languages.
  • SOC Tool Utilization: Effectively utilize Crisis Management Centers’ tools for risk assessment, threat monitoring, and interpreting criminal/safety data for client properties.
  • Information Security: Maintain confidentiality of policy, emergency, administrative, and database materials.
  • Incident Communication: Inform key personnel and stakeholders of critical incidents, Homeland Security updates, and news affecting assets through bulletins and alerts.
  • Event Threat Assessment: Review special events to develop threat assessments and alert stakeholders to new trends or suspicious activity.
  • Operational Flexibility: Work flexible shifts during events, high-traffic periods, or emergencies.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in using open-source collection tools to gather and analyze data effectively.
  • Advanced degree in intelligence studies, national security, political science, international affairs, criminology, or other relevant education

 

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, research, and writing skills; able to work independently and solve problems efficiently.
  • Effective member of a strategic analytical team for intelligence products and assessments.
  • Capable of defining problems, establishing facts, involving relevant stakeholders, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Proficient at organizing tasks, recalling essential details, and using reference materials efficiently.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, intelligence automation, communication tools, and quick to learn new applications.

Salary: $141,980 / year
