Allied Universal® is hiring a Regional Director of Operations. The Regional Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing business operations throughout the retail Vertical. The Regional Director of Operations will manage and direct all operational, financial, administrative, client relations, and staff activities while overseeing a large, growing P&L. The Director will oversee Account Managers, Site Managers, and Site Supervisors who are leading client interactions and leadership activities throughout the field. The individual will build and retain profitable business growth, which also includes leading the delivery of services through a team of managers: Single Site Account, Operations Manager(s), and Support Staff as appropriate to size (HR, trainer, administrative assistant, support manager, etc.).
Support an expansive territory anchored in the Austin office with rapid-response travel as needs arise.
Lead day-to-day operations with full P&L/budget accountability, client and employee relations, new account startups/transitions, and strict adherence to company policy and compliance—while coaching leaders and driving results
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure delivery of world class customer service to all clients while managing client relations, new job startups/transitions of new accounts, and employee relations
- Manage day to day operations of the assigned accounts, including coaching, developing, and guiding the teams to perform efficiently and effectively
- Selection and placement of management and supervisory personnel; design and implement career development and performance improvement programs
- Implement and monitor ongoing compliance with all company-wide programs, such as licensing, investigations (employee and general liability/auto), employee benefit programs, office procedures, vehicle patrol policies, employee coaching/discipline, etc.
- Responsible for vertical profitability: overseeing control of all financial impacts to the vertical, including daily and weekly unbilled overtime and training expenses
- Assist the Vice President in strategic planning on both a short-term and long-term basis, for future operational growth and expansion
- Direct and administer the core security operations of the vertical, providing guidance and support on all operational and compliance issues
- Oversee and manage operational and financial functions including payroll, billing, accounts receivable, scheduling, recruiting, training, etc. for the portfolio
- Generate new business through partnership with marketing and sales teams
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
- Current driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in leadership roles within a professional services delivery organization
- Demonstrated experience of building strong collaborative relationships with different stakeholder groups of varying levels, building trusted advisor relationships to navigate and influence demand, resolve conflicts, and deliver results
- Highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology
- Influential leader that can build, inspire, and retain top performing teams
- Financial management skills with direct P&L oversight, budget management and financial controls and objectives
- Influencing skills and change management experience with the ability to successfully manage complexity and multiple priorities
- Highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology including Business Intelligence tools
- Excellent organizational skills, teamwork, leadership development, and lean/problem solving capabilities
- Possess both a results-orientated and exceptional work ethic - determined to meet and exceed targets and drive accountability throughout the Operations organization
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, intellectually curios, and a critical thinker who can work through complex business issues and make decisions quickly; highly proficient at analyzing and leveraging historical data and market intelligence to drive strategic shifts at the broader business level
- Articulate written and oral communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively and cross-functionally in a global, matrixed business structure
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
- Prior contract or proprietary security services, related service industry, law enforcement, and/or military experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration
- Leadership certifications
- Experience in the development and analysis of a Request for Proposal (RFPs)
- American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS) International Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP)
