• Hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 12pm to 8pm.
• Pay is $41.17 per hour

Allied Universal® Enhanced Protection Services, is hiring an Armed Security Operative. The Armed Security Operative will conduct armed discrete patrol (interior and/or exterior).  Additional duties include controlling access and egress; monitoring CCTV and alarm systems; composing reports; deterring criminal activity and misconduct.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Intercede, escort, or assist in escorting, persons as needed
• Observe and report inappropriate or suspicious behavior and/or materials/objects to the client
• Communicate and/or document any irregular security-related or safety-related incidents

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED), or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Be at least 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Prior civilian or military law enforcement experience
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  *A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only
• Must be able to obtain NYS Armed Guard License
• Must be able to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
• Must possess a NY Concealed Carry Permit

Preferred Qualifications:

• Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
• Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
• A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
• Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service

Compensation:

$41.17 hourly
