Job Description

Allied Universal® Technology Services is looking to hire a Senior Applications Engineer. This role provides advanced expertise to installation and service teams, ensuring seamless interoperability across complex security platforms and enterprise applications. The Senior Applications Engineer will drive high-level troubleshooting, custom programming, system commissioning, software upgrades, and advanced diagnostics. Candidates should bring deep proficiency with integration tools, the ability to implement tailored software interfaces, and a proven track record of delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

 

Salary Range: $100,000 - $135,000 annually

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and oversee advanced security system integrations to deliver cohesive, enterprise-level solutions.
  • Configure LAN (Local Area Network) and wireless network infrastructures to optimize connectivity, system reliability, and performance.
  • Lead advanced diagnostics and root-cause analysis to ensure peak system functionality and long-term stability.
  • Partner strategically with Project Managers, End Users, and Technical Teams to guide successful software deployment and utilization.
  • Resolve complex project-related software and system issues, coordinating with cross-functional technical resources as needed.
  • Direct escalation protocols, ensuring critical issues are communicated and mitigated promptly to minimize business impact.
  • Advise and coordinate with leadership to drive efficient timelines, effective resource allocation, and scalable project execution.
  • Oversee and schedule software licensing, compliance, and advanced training programs to foster continuous professional growth across teams.
  • Develop and lead end-user training strategies, ensuring seamless software adoption, optimized system operation, and enhanced client satisfaction.
     

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) year of experience programming and troubleshooting access control and video systems
  • Advanced knowledge of industry-leading security system and equipment providers, working with enterprise level clients or large projects
  • Product specific certification(s) with access control systems and video platforms, such as AMAG, Lenel, Milestone, Genetec, SoftwareHouse
  • High level decision-making and complex problem-solving ability to develop innovative solutions that align with organizational strategy
  • Expert ability to interpret, evaluate and apply advanced technical documentation, ensuring systems and solutions meet enterprise and client requirements
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint and Word)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to establish and maintain trusted partnerships across executive leadership, technical teams and client organizations

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related major

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • Salary Range: $100,000 - $135,000 annually
  • Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance
  • Enrollment in our company’s 401(k)plan, subject to eligibility requirements
  • Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days
  • Vacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law.
