Job Description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Director of Compliance for North America. The Director of Compliance is responsible for providing support and guidance in the areas of ethical compliance and operational compliance, including, but not limited to, the company’s global ethics and compliance program and related policies across all lines of business in North America. The Director of Compliance also supports and oversees ethics investigations and oversees the development, enhancement and management of the company’s Operational Compliance Program.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support and guidance to the business, functions, leaders and individuals across the organization related to the company's global ethics and compliance program, including the Code of Ethics and related policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance on matters related to compliance or potential ethics violations and help respond to both internal and external inquiries
  • Provide support and oversight related to ethics, fraud and other compliance investigations, including but not limited to, ethical obligations of government contractors; advise company stakeholders about opportunities to mitigate compliance risk, undertake appropriate remediation, or enhance controls
  • Conduct research and provide guidance on issues related to federal contract compliance, including policy development, training, and investigations
  • Manage and update, as needed, the Operational Compliance Program
  • Supervise and support the professional development of the Manager, Compliance - North America.

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, risk management, law, or other relevant field of study
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience providing compliance or legal support and/or guidance, or similar experience showing the ability to understand and interpret policies, statutes and regulations
  • Previous experience conducting audits or investigations
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
  • Must possess the ability to read, understand, comprehend, and communicate clearly about laws, regulations, rulings, policies, and interpretive guidance
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with business leaders, in-house and external counsel, customers, and government agency officials
  • Stronge organizational and analytical skills, including attention to detail and a self-driven, problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to drive deliverables and influence both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Experience working in Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive platforms
  • Must be adaptable, able to work in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Master's degree finance, business, risk management, law, or other relevant field of study
  • Prior experience in the security industry or other regulated industry
  • Relevant certifications
  • Project management experience
  • Smartsheet skills

BENEFITS:

  • Pay: $88,000 - $98,000 base salary plus 20% annual bonus eligibility
  • Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance
  • Enrollment in our company’s 401(k)plan, subject to eligibility requirements
  • Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days
  • Vacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law.
