Job Description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Systems Analyst. The Security Systems Analyst is responsible for the support of all physical security systems including access control, CCTV operations, and dedicated alarm systems on a global wide spectrum. This position will also serve as the point of contact for training users to operate the access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.

 

Full Time: Monday - Friday

Hourly: $36.90

 

Nature and Scope 

 

Corporate Security is responsible for the effective administration and management of security, fire protection, and safety programs integrated across the World Bank Group (WBG) organizational lines. 

 

Principle Duties and Accountabilities 

 

The Fire Marshal works under the guidance and supervision of the Senior Fire Marshal and has responsibility for the below noted functions: 

 

  • Implements the Audit Program by auditing the effectiveness and compliance of the contractors performing inspections and testing of the Fire Life Safety team under the guidance of the Chief Fire Marshal and Senior Fire Marshal.
  • Documents any items or practices that would adversely affect staff from a fire and life safety standpoint. Immediately reports these items or practices. 
  • Actively engaged in fire and life safety systems testing for new/existing systems, testing of repaired or upgraded systems to ensure that they function to meet the design specification, code compliance, and the acceptable expectation of the client. 
  • Assists in the investigations of fire incidents and prepares reports within specified time requirements. 
  • Prepares and submit reports on results of the various inspections and tests within specified time requirements. 
  • Assists the Senior Fire Marshal and Chief Fire Marshal with review and provide comments of blueprints and construction plans that affect the protective systems in all WBG-owned, leased, or retrofitted space on current, upgraded, or redesigned fire safety systems.
  • Assists the Senior Fire Marshal and Chief Fire Marshal in coordinating/executing fire emergency evacuation and daycare drills in all WBG owned & leased buildings as outlined in the WBG Emergency and Fire Safety Plan.
  • Coordinate and manage WBG’s Emergency Warden and Persons with Disabilities Programs as assigned under the guidance of the Senior Fire Marshal. 
  • Coordinate and deliver training pertaining to: fire safety awareness/prevention, pre-emergency awareness, fire evacuation procedures, and how to use fire safety equipment (fire extinguishers, evacuation chairs, etc.).
  • Performs such other duties as required by the Senior Fire Marshal and Chief Fire Marshal. 

 

Administrative Responsibilities 

 

Responsible for knowing/understanding/executing policies and procedures outlined by the client, and whereby stated in handbooks and executive memos.  

 

 Basic Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field preferred.
  • In lieu of degree, should have at least 3 years’ full-time work experience in one or more of the following fields (in any combination thereof),
  • Firefighting or public safety emergency response
  • Code enforcement, fire safety inspection, fire prevention, or emergency preparedness;
  • The design, installation, operation or maintenance of building fire protection or electrical, building system regulated by construction codes;
  • NICET Certification Level 1(Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems and/or Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems) preferred, However, must be obtained within the first 2years of employment. 
  • Plans Examiner I/II preferred, or must be obtained within the first 2years of employment. 
  • Certified Fire Inspector II preferred, but not required. However, must be obtained within first year of employment. 
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and open source databases
  • Familiarity with modern mobile technologies and other common technologies (standard computer software applications)
  • Effective organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and analyze problems; identify problems and provide clear concise solutions
  • Be self-motivated and possess a strong initiative and willingness to learn along with follow through discipline
  • Ability to routinely walk the entirety of the WBG high-rise office building to inspect all spaces.  
  • Must be a team player and responsive to the operational needs, goals, and objectives of Corporate Security. 
  • Must be able to extensively walk all WBG-owned/leased space thoroughly for inspections (high-rise office buildings). 
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and successfully pass annual company motor vehicle check to drive to remote sites to perform inspections.
  • Must be able to work various shifts and weekends, as dictated by the operational needs of the team.
