Job Description

Our canine group, under Allied Universal® Enhanced Protection Services, is hiring a Regional Director. The Regional Director is accountable and responsible for the operational execution of the Explosive Detection Canine (EDC) program for the EDC Memphis/Southwest operations. The Regional Director is responsible for all operational aspects of the position through understanding client needs and proactively meeting them through; the management of client relations and departmental employees, coordinating the support services needed to meet or exceed operational goals and providing quality customer service in the most cost-effective manner, within the company standards.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee daily operations and performance of 100+ Explosive Detection Canine (EDC) teams, including Field Supervisors and Trainers
  • Serve as the field representative for leadership, implementing operational directives and ensuring compliance
  • Ensure adherence to the Collective Bargaining Agreement and collaborate with union leadership on local issues
  • Enforce standards of conduct and performance for EDC handlers, handle investigations and disciplinary actions
  • Oversee EDC staffing, training, and scheduling to ensure continuous qualified coverage across all posts
  • Manage EDC program budgets and manpower resources efficiently, as well as support business development efforts
  • Support recruitment, hiring, and performance management of personnel within assigned regions
  • Ability to intelligently engage with TSA ensuring the CCSP-K9 requirements are met In the filed by monitoring and facilitating success relating to TSA certification events, monthly training requirements, program documentation, and all daily operational compliance requirements

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two (2) years K9 operational experience involving daily compliance/oversight responsibilities
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a supervisory role managing people and operations in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Proficiency with conflict resolution techniques
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments to fulfill business needs
  • Ability to evaluate program effectiveness and ensure operation efficiency and quality control
  • Excellent decision-making ability
  • Ability to strategically plan
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Strong customer focus
  • Ability to utilize technology, Including Microsoft Office applications, and learn new technologies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Experience in managing and maintaining client relationships
  • Knowledge of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Certified Cargo Screening Program-Canine (CCSP-K9)

PAY: $100,000 - $110,000 Annually
