Job Description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Warehouse Manager. The Warehouse Manager will oversee and optimize our shipping and receiving operations, enforce inventory control procedures, and uphold physical security measures within our warehouse facilities. The Warehouse Manager role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and timely movement of goods, maintaining inventory integrity, and enforcing company policies and safety protocols.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Shipping and Receiving

  • Comprehensive Oversight: Manage all aspects of inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely and accurate processing of shipments.
  • Inspection & Verification: Implement rigorous inspection protocols upon receipt of goods to verify quantity and quality, aligning with best practices for receiving inventory.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities. This may require cross-functional collaboration with other departments. You will be required to enforce warehouse policy.
  • Collaborate with other departments including operations, sales, and IT to ensure seamless order processing and fulfillment.

Inventory Procedures

  • Inventory Management Systems: Utilize SAP and other software to ensure accuracy of inventory levels.
  • Cycle Counting & Audits: Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventory audits to maintain inventory integrity and identify discrepancies promptly.

Physical Controls

  • Access Control: Enforce access control measures, including ID badges and keypads to restrict unauthorized entry and safeguard assets.
  • Surveillance Systems: Monitor warehouse activities and deter potential security breaches.

Policy Enforcement

  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to streamline workflow and reduce errors.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Enforce SOPs for all warehouse operations, ensuring consistency and compliance across all activities. This Includes suggesting new SOPs when Identified to resolve potential Issues.
  • Training & Compliance: Conduct regular training sessions to educate staff on warehouse policies, safety protocols, and emergency procedures, fostering a culture of accountability.
  • Audit & Review: Perform periodic audits to assess adherence to established policies and procedures, making necessary adjustments to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of five (5) years of operations/logistics or supply chain experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of computer experience with Sedona, SAP or equivalent
  • Experience managing warehouse operations
  • Ability to multitask and handle constantly changing work assignments with critical deadlines
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and employees
  • Possess strong attention to detail, must be quick learner
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to drive operational excellence

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Supply chain management/supervisory experience
  • Driving experience to assist with deliveries
  • Forklift experience
  • SAP experience
