Job Description

Allied Universal is currently hiring a VP of Recruiting to lead a team of Regional Recruiting Managers throughout the Western Region that oversee Regional Recruiters responsible for sourcing and driving pipelines of qualified applicants to the Applicant Tracking System (iCIMS) for Security Professional Positions.  The VP will ensure all recruitment processes, practices, compliance, technology, community resources and tools are used in the field to source quality candidates into open positions in a timely manner. The VP or Recruiting will enable Allied Universal to increase focus on Recruiting efforts to find the best talent and drive down non-billable over time – critical imperatives for our business.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Direct and lead all Regional Recruiting Managers to ensure teams:
    • Develop a robust talent pipeline of Security Professional candidates is delivered for all markets to ensure applicant flow is appropriate to the business need in every market
    • Drive applicant-to-hire ratios to a minimum of 3:1 in all markets
    • Follow approved recruitment process to improve time to fill
    • Deploy and develop relationships with College, Diversity, Military, Community Partnerships and other targeted recruiting tactics that provide hires on a consistent basis
    • Improve Non-billable Overtime (NBOT)
    • Weekly recruitment reports are pulled from iCIMS and used as a management tool to target critical accounts and recruitment efforts
    • New recruiters and recruitment support staff are hired and trained appropriately
  • Administer recruiting measures and provide analysis and recommendations for adjusting techniques and strategies to meet targets.   Include completing weekly or monthly reports on hiring, effectiveness of recruiting sources, costs vs. return on investment, projections for future growth, and other useful data. Turn analysis into action plans by pro-actively anticipating and responding to trends.
  • Manage regional recruitment budget to ensure appropriate advertising methods are used for best ROI

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with Operations to manage clients in areas related to recruitment/retention activities:
    • Participate in sales presentations (when appropriate)
    • Assist to manage client expectations around recruitment challenges
    • Ensure client concerns are addressed, acted on and improved in a reasonable time frame
    • Hold recruiting teams accountable for understanding and complying with individual contract requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
  • Seven years in a management role within a large service related private sector organization
  • Four years of experience recruiting in a high volume, full-life cycle recruiting environment driving hourly talent

Other requirements or competencies:

  • Strong initiative and solid judgment to provide coaching, manage candidates, influence hiring managers and work with executives
  • Must be able to quickly assimilate technical information and build solutions to the optimal balance of meeting business needs, beating competitors, and operating within financial resource constraints
  • Ability to create, edit and manage data from ATS and other resources to analyze and report trends and make recommendations
  • Proven experience driving goals, executing projects and problem solving
  • Polished written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clear direction and expectations
  • Thorough understanding of state hiring laws, affirmative action processes and OFCCP/FSLA compliance
  • Experience working with advanced recruitment technology and talent management systems (Internet search engines, social media sites, ATS, etc).
  • Ability to develop talent pipelines and creative candidate sourcing plans
  • Possess high personal integrity and have the ability to instill the same in others
  • Positive and upbeat in a team environment – a motivator
  • Creative and self-motivated – continually seek ways to improve self and company
  • Participates in the development of the organization's plans and programs as a strategic partner, but particularly from the perspective of hiring strong talent
  • Develops programs to allow the organization to embrace applicants and employees of all backgrounds and to permit the full development and performance of all employees.
  • Manages the budget and other financial measures for the Recruiting Organization
  • Continues improving the programs, policies, practices and processes associated with meeting the strategic and operational people issues of the organization.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time
