Job Description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Regional Events Security Specialist. The Regional Events Security Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of employees, executives, and guests at corporate events, both domestically and internationally. The Regional Events Security Specialist role demands a high level of integrity, sound judgment, and adaptability, especially in high-pressure situations. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in event security, risk assessment, and emergency management, with a focus on delivering secure, seamless, and exceptional experiences for clients and employees. Strong leadership and proactive decision-making will be critical in managing complex security needs and mitigating potential risks during corporate events. The Regional Events Security Specialist may expect to travel up to 30 to 50% domestically and internationally and must be able to secure and maintain international travel documents (e.g., US passport).

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee event staff (vendor) performance to ensure vendor and client expectations are met, implementing quality assurance programs and resolving performance issues
  • Maintain and manage onsite inventory of critical supplies, including communication equipment, emergency medical provisions, and inclement weather clothing
  • Coordinate global event security and safety services, both on-site and remotely, to ensure comprehensive protection during events, while collaborating with internal teams deliver exceptional customer service
  • Develop and maintain detailed security plans, including risk assessments, communication protocols, medical response plans, and evacuation procedures
  • Provide on-site security support during events, collaborating with the Executive Protection team to identify threats and manage incidents
  • Conduct risk assessments and site evaluations to identify potential security risks and recommend appropriate security measures
  • Manage vendor relations and budgets to ensure cost-effective and efficient security services within financial constraints
  • Apply knowledge of regional laws, policies, and emergency service networks to enhance security strategies and program effectiveness
  • Conduct post-event reviews, assist in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for event security, and support leadership in executing responsive event security programs
  • Travel up to 30 to 50% domestically and internationally

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Project Management, Risk and/or Emergency Operations, or related field of study
    • Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Project Management, Risk and/or Emergency Operations, or related field of study with a minimum of four (4) years of executive protection, event security experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of executive protection, event security experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of executive protection, event security (e.g., corporate events, conferences, C-Suite travel/visits, etc.) experience
  • Willingness and flexibility to respond to client needs with limited notice, to include evenings, weekends, and holidays to support business needs
  • Ability to contribute with collaborative teams and adapts to changing requirements and schedules
  • Demonstrated ability to lead partnership initiatives, establish and maintain strategic relationships to achieve organizational objectives
  • Excellent customer-service skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of individuals
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills to contribute to innovative solutions with the scope of assigned tasks and issues
  • Ability to serve as the first point of contact while being able to delegate projects and tasks to team members, and effectively lead, motivate, and guide team on priorities, improvements, initiatives, and issues.
  • Ability to prioritize workload based on urgency; able to delegate time sensitive tasks and communicate to a range of audiences including to executive management
  • Planning and organizing skills; prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; plans for additional resources; organizes or schedules other people and their tasks; develops realistic action plans
  • Effectively present information to management and public groups as necessary both in written and oral formats
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to coordinate a variety of time-consuming, detail-oriented task and assignments simultaneously, while under deadlines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

  • Training in Event Security, Executive Protection and/or prior experience in military or law enforcement
  • Advanced medical training (e.g., EMT, WEMT, WFR)
  • Certification in First Aid/CPR/AED
  • Familiarity with access/threat management systems such as Lenel, DataMinr, ISOS, or similar platforms.

Salary: $145,000 / year
