 The GSOC Operator plays a pivotal role in the 24/7 security operations team, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, facilities, and assets. This position specifically covers overnight shifts: Friday and Saturday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and Sunday and Monday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The role requires a dependable professional capable of working the assigned shifts, including nights, open shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate adaptability, situational awareness, and a strong commitment to monitoring, rapid incident response, and effective communication. Operating in a high-tech environment, you will utilize advanced security systems to detect, analyze, and respond to potential threats in real time, ensuring proactive risk management and operational excellence.

 

 Core Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and Detection:
    • Oversee multiple security systems, including video surveillance, access control, and alert management platforms.
    • Identify and respond to security incidents, alarms, and system anomalies in real time.
  • Incident Response and Management:
    • Document and escalate incidents, following established protocols.
    • Provide clear and timely updates to relevant teams and decision-makers.
    • Coordinate with local responders, security teams, and other stakeholders during emergencies.
  • Threat Awareness and Reporting:
    • Analyze regional and global events for potential impacts on operations.
    • Create detailed reports and summaries to support decision-making and enhance situational awareness.
  • System Operation and Troubleshooting:
    • Utilize advanced tools and software for surveillance, tracking, and risk assessment.
    • Address technical issues with security systems as needed to maintain operational continuity.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Serve as a central point of contact for security-related communication across departments.
    • Maintain accurate logs of activities, ensuring transparency and accountability in operations.

  Required Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 1-2 years in a GSOC, security operations, or emergency management role.
    • Familiarity with monitoring tools, incident response protocols, and threat assessment processes.
  • Skills:
    • Strong computer literacy and ability to learn complex systems quickly.
    • Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills, with attention to detail under pressure.
    • Effective verbal and written communication for incident documentation and team coordination.
  • Behavioral Attributes:
    • Ability to maintain composure during emergencies and high-stress situations.
    • Strong sense of urgency and accountability when managing tasks and responsibilities.
