Job Description

Allied Universal is currently seeking a skilled Security Service Leader to serve as an Enterprise Accounts Manager. The Enterprise Accounts Portfolio Manager will be based out of a new and state of the art high rise building located at Hudson Yards and have responsibility for several sites across our client’s portfolio. The ideal candidate is a people first and mission always leader. The candidate is highly motivated and experienced leader that can operate in demanding and stressful situations. 

 

Our client’s Global Enterprise Security (GES) team has responsibility for ensuring a risk-based management approach to protect our client’s staff and visitors, reputation, physical and information assets, and operations from disruptive events. The GES Team key security functions, include Corporate Security, Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Health & Safety. Enterprise Security is part of our client’s Global Enterprise Services group which also includes Corporate Travel, Private Aviation, Real Estate, Facilities Management and Premiere Support across the firm.

 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Travel to other US based locations as needed to review and evaluate overall operations.  This position requires ~35% domestic travel to client locations as well as other Allied Universal offices when necessary.
  • Responsible for managing all assigned security staff on site to include building guards and command center staff at the primary NYC location.
  • Ensures assigned staff create a safe and hazard free workplace for all client employees, visitors and guests.
  • Creates and manages the team’s schedule ensuring 24/7/365 coverage by qualified individuals capable of carrying out the team’s mission. 
  • Conducts unannounced checks to ensure security staff across all shifts are in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Compiles reporting Key Performance Indicators and statistics monthly, and as needed.
  • Plans and leads monthly, new joiner and ad hoc staff trainings on all standard operating procedures. Reviews all SOPs on a regular basis and authors new procedures as necessary.
  • Mentors, grows and monitors performance of all assigned security staff.
  • Escalates staffing, safety and/or operational issues to client for remediation.
  • Liaisons with our London and India command centers during failover operations to maintain zero lapse in security operations.
  • Leads all assigned security investigations and presents findings to the client in a clear & concise manner.
  • Provides immediate response and support during emergency situations in the building and that may impact our client.
  • Monitors intelligence gathering efforts and performs quality assurance checks on all reports.
  • Acts as a liaison between law enforcement, building ownership and client senior management during emergency situations.
  • Coordinate with domestic AlliedUniversal locations for SOW changes, incident management, Quarterly Business Reviews

 

Skills

  • Strong leadership skills demonstrated by prior experience.
  • Ability to nurture effective professional relationships with staff and client.
  • Superior written and oral communication is required along with computer literacy.
  • Working knowledge of electronic security, communication systems and CCTV systems.
  • Working knowledge of fire and life safety programs to include Emergency Action Plans.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills in all products and presentation abilities.

 

Qualifications:

 

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Criminal Justice plus at least ten years of general management experience. Minimum of 5 years of contract or proprietary security services, law enforcement and/or military experience is highly desired. Also, we require the following skills:

  • Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines.
  • Dedication to high-quality customer service delivery and integrity through proven client and customer relationships
  • Highly effective leader with the ability to build strong relationships internally with all levels of the organization and manage under difficult service delivery time-frames.
  • Participate in industry specific professional organizations such as ASIS
  • Work with all levels in the organization to identify, analyze and solve problems and create opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • 10 years of command center management experience in the private sector, military or law enforcement.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and unplanned emergencies as required.
  • Active New York State security license required, or ability to attain one.

Salary: $90,000 / year
