Job Description

Allied Universal® is hiring a Director, Financial Planning and Analysis to oversee our Technology Services division in Dallas, TX. The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for playing a key role as a strategic business partner in supporting the annual planning and budget process, quarterly forecasting, and monthly/weekly management reporting and analysis for the consolidated company results. The Director of Finance FP&A will work closely with the executive team and regional field leaders to help in delivering the financial targets and analyzing KPIs and trends for the company.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare monthly financial summary presentations and reports
  • Analyze revenue, costs, sales results, and the company’s performance compared to budget and business plans
  • Identify and analyze key drivers, issues, and opportunities; provide insightful business and decision support
  • Manage quarterly forecasting process and consolidation
  • Develop annual operating budget and interface with the field organization to help optimize business needs
  • Develop world class financial reporting, giving management transparent reporting of results and forecasts
  • Develop business intelligence tools and views; analyze trends, projections, and KPIs for improvement
  • Perform routine and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Consolidate financials across multiple regions and business units
  • Calculate sales commissions and advise on program and metrics
  • Continue to develop best in class department and processes
  • Lead and develop field specialists to ensure alignment with supported business objectives
  • Drives cross functional projects to enhance EBITDA
  • Selection and placement, career development, disciplinary action, and driving performance of direct reports
  • Interact with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or other closely related field of study
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or strategy
  • At least two (2) years of directly managing a team 
  • Proven track record of business success, achievement, and promotion
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent grasp of corporate FP&A fundamentals, familiarity with accounting
  • Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and guide team on priorities, improvements, initiatives, and issues
  • Must be highly proficient and fully functional in all Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology
  • Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion
  • Proven ability to maintain correspondence, discussions, and materials in strictest confidence
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization while functioning as a team player

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or other closely related field of study
  • Experience with Business Intelligence platforms such as DOMO
  • Experience working with ERPs, EPM/CPM systems, and Hyperion
  • Experience working at a PE backed and/or public company
